FAQ
Tickled Pink Ltd
1) Why did you decide to start Tickled Pink Ltd?
Two years ago, Nicole Devoe and April St. Cyr met through their boyfriends, Brandon and Chad (who are fraternal twins by the way) and talked about how they would love to work in a more creatively challenging way and how April could put her technical theatre degree to good use; Nicole her business degree. Thus, they got themselves further trained and Tickled Pink Ltd was born!

1) How do we choose a cake?
We will set up a consultation, upon your choosing to do a cake with us, to discuss design choices. You may provide us with pictures, colors, or ideas that you may have at this time. You may also provide us before the consult with ideas you may have, so that we may have more ideas to show you. The consultation may be over the phone or email, if easier. We can recreate something you may have seen elsewhere; however, we believe in doing our own work and may change designs to suit this.
2) Do you have tastings or samples?
We do a cake tasting with all of our wedding cakes and specialty tiered cakes, included with the cakes. Tasting/samples will be available for other cakes for an additional fee and upon request. Tickle Pink Ltd participates in local bridal shows and area events. There will be samples provided at these, if allowed. Please check our website frequently for events we may be in!
3) Do you provide flowers?
We can arrange to use fresh flowers with your florist or acquire flowers of your choice on our own, in which case, the cost will come out of your cake materials. Since flowers are not edible material, we will direct you in your choosing of flowers that are food safe. Also, as part of your contract, the use of fresh flowers will be noted and we are not liable for their use.
4) What if I am having an outdoor reception?
We suggest in the warmer months of May to Sept that a client choose a fondant covered cake. Also, even though fondant can withstand better in the warmer weather, we suggest that the cake be left out no longer than three hours.
5) What does fondant taste like? What if I don't like the taste of fondant?
Fondant has very little taste. It faintly tastes of sugar. Most people have more of a dislike of the texture, as it is chewy and unlike the traditional cake most are use to. Tickled Pink Ltd will serve and re-ice a cake at a reception, for no extra charge, for anyone who may not want to serve the fondant to their guests. This is done only if the reception allows. Please check with your reception site or caterer. We may also provide extra icing to be used by the reception site/caterer themselves, if allowed.

We book up to a year in advance for cakes, however, for a wedding cake or other intricate cake, we require at least two months. For all other simple cakes, one week advance notice is suffice. We are subject to availability, however, we do get cancellations. Please feel free to call us if you are past these guidelines to see if we may help serve you.
